Dukan

Willpower is something that I struggle with, particularly when it comes to sweets.

After a fabulous weekend in NYC filled with booze and baked goods, I decided I needed to take a note from Mrs. Prince William and shrink down a bit.

Let's not get carried away people, there is NO physical way, or personal desire for that matter, to be as thin as she is.

It is reported here (and many other places) that Kate is a follower of the Dukan Diet.

I hit the grocery store last night and gathered up everything I need for my first few days of the "Attack Phase" and have hit the ground running this morning.

I will be updating y'all on my progress but so far, this is what's going on:

-weighed in this morning at 1*4 lbs.
-I started off my day with scrambled egg whites and smoked salmon with the Dukan Oat Bran Pancake. Pretty dang good!
- After breakfast I was stuffed for an hour!

~Disclaimer~
I am 5'8" with medium bone structure and work with a trainer 3X a week so naturally my results will be different from others.

Head to the website and check it out.

According to my calculations, I should hit my goal weight by November 27th.

I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, I'll keep you abreast of all my travel adventures.

Happy Dukan!

Earth Friendly Snacker?

Most of us have been on the "reusable grocery bag wagon" for a while.

But what about sandwich and snack baggies?

How about these fabulously trendy and Eco friendly lunch skins?

They make that nasty white bread sammy
look like it would be quite fun to eat.

And they come in tons of different styles and designs.

I mean, Oprah is obsessed with them...
doesn't mean that you should be too?

I thought so.

Click it

If you are reading this, you have zero excuse.
You are already on the Internet so all you have to do is

go to this website and click that button.

When you click, ads from sponsors are posted.
100% of that money goes to charity partners who fund programs
to provide mammograms to women in need.

Yes, it is that simple.

Add it to your favorites and make a habit of clicking every morning
when you fire up your comp.

Geared Up

One of my favorite parts about getting into a good workout routine is hands down THE GEAR! I love adding new pieces to my work-it-out wardrobe.

And unless you have been living under a rock, you have to have noticed all of the Lululemon shops popping up everywhere.

Everything they have looks so cozy and cute.
And how could it not since its yoga-inspired?
The following items are on my "I would look sooo cute running in this" list

Go to their website here and see what you can't find.

Then there are my go-to favorites. You must have them too...you know, the ones that make you want to stomp your feet and pitch a fit when they are dirty...

Maybe that is just me?

I have this Nike zip up in white and gray.
It is light but keeps you warm and dry.
I tend to throw it on with jeans from time to time when I'm feeling sporty.

This top is super fitted so beware. However, it is a great way to keep your tummy sucked in while working out. Just make sure you aren't feeling gassy while trying to run and suck in your tummy. Just saying....this is a judgment free zone.

Hands down FAVORITE sports bra I have ever worn. Holds the girls in place but doesn't cutoff circulation or dig into your neck. Totally worth the investment!

My new toy. I have always wanted this and Chuck never used it (and didn't have the shoes)so guess who it belongs to now?

Besides, sometimes you need that automated voice to tell you to hurry the eff up.

Lastly, a good pair of socks are a must.

Last night I ran in a pair that had a hole in the big toe.
Each step I took it lodged itself farther under my toenail....not pleasant.

These Asics fit like silky stockings.
Not too tight or think and don't bunch around the heel.
What are your workout must have items?

Mucus...

Thanks to all those who came to work sick
I woke up feeling like this little girl

And had to pull on my cashmere sweater in 90 degree Houston heat

BCBG
Hopefully it is nothing that a little airborne

and Mucinex can't cure

If those two can't tackle it....
I'm gonna have a SERIOUS attitude problem.
And then I'm gonna take it out on the ones who decided to sneeze
near me and touch all my doorknobs!
