Movie Monday- Because I Said So

I don't know why I like this movie so much....but it's a "go-to"

There are three houses in this one that I so enjoy.

Let's start with a few shots of Daphne's (Diane Keaton)
Farm sink- check

Cluttered/organized book shelves- check

cozy old yellow lab- check check

Milly's (Mandy M) apartment was my favorite.

I love the eclectic mix of textures and color.

Tufted sofa - check

Exposed brick- oh my gosh, check
However, chica needs a new TV

Then there is the kitchen in Hottie-Mac-Hot's canal bungalow

These are the actual cabinets, tile, stove in the actual house

Thank you single dad for having a farm sink and blue Viking stove.

Am I going pear shaped?

Last week , Kelly Green posted about the Enzo Mari Apple hanging in SJP's Hamptons kitchen.

I love that something so simple and childish was included in the kitchen.

But where would I hang my own and would I want an apple?
or a pear?

I kept returning to the thought of a nursery or toddlers room.
Well, as we both know, I have neither.

But then I came across these
at Couverture in London. Duh...one of my favorite cities would NEVER let me down.
Christmas present?
Yes, please.

Movie Monday

What is Movie Monday you say?
I have decided to start something new.
I am going to post pictures of my favorite houses from my favorite movies.

I watch lots of movies. Call it lazy, call it lame, call it what you want. I won't apologize for enjoying a 2 hour escape from the real world.

Lately I have found myself searching high and low for the houses that have been frequenting my junk food eating marathons.

Today I will start my Monday sequel with Amanda's (Cameron Diaz) house from The Holiday.
I don't think that would stop me from hanging out with a bottle of vino in this kitchen.

Fun fact- the interior was actually built on a sound stage and cost nearly $1million. There were no exterior walls, plumbing, roof, heating, electricity... I love the airy feeling, lanterns, white slip covers, linen fabric, sisal runners
No wonder Kate Winslet was so excited to trade for vacation.

Wonder what they did with it all when they were done filming?
I could take the light fixtures off their hands...they would go great in my storage unit until I have more than 500 sq ft to inhabit.

Going on a much anticipated date tonight.
Happy Weekend!

New Friend

Well, sort of....
I have added a new blog to my "Some Fav Friends" page.

But by no means is Amber a new friend...
This gorg (for reals) girl is also from Memphis and became a Tri Delta at Alabama during my reign as assistant rush chair.
She is super talented, outgoing, genuine, and as it turns out,
quite the romantic.

As an added bonus, we both have hottie manfriends born and bred in Houston.
Fortunately for her, her manfriend isn't a Longhorn.

If you haven't yet, venture over to Sweet Pea and tell Amber I said hello.

Why wouldn't you want to add this fabulously good looking gal to your virtual friend list?

I thought so.

What's the Story Morning Glory

Went on a date last night with my cute gf Cat Brad to see Morning Glory.

Super cute with a cast of my favs Diane Keaton reminds me so much of my mother...quirky, fun and fabulous

Sweet sexy Rachel McAdams and Silver Fox Ford....he is older than my father but still makes me weak in the knees.

Then there was the soundtrack.

So many great songs from Joss Stone, Colin Hay, Paolo Nutini, Michael Buble, Colbie Caillat, The Weepies, and then the trailor song my Natasha Bedingfield

And of course, best for last....Patrick Wilson
a.k.a. Hunk a Hunk of Burning Love
His cute face, with his cute smile, walking around shaking his cute butt.
I S.W.O.O.N.

Soooo worth your $10.25 in my opinion

Btw...how much do movies cost in your area?

Dreaming of a White

It's not even Thanksgiving but after curling up to watch
I am totally dreaming of a white Christmas...

Check out the throw...yummy

It's not that absurd,
it's right around the corner and will be here before you know it.
